Latest Car Recall Notifications

What Are Car Safety Recalls?
Car recalls from the DVSA have become a regular part of car ownership over the last few years. They occur when a manufacturer determines that a car model or indeed several models have a defect that could compromise the drivers safety. If you're looking for a specific recall we have listed them all below so just scroll down.
Now new legislation could be bought in that could see an automatic MOT fail if a recall repair is not completed. With figures showing there could be as many as a million cars on the road with ignored safety recall notificiations, with some 55,000 owners of Vauxhall Zafira's not having necessary repairs even after receiving up to seven letter from the car maker.

Car Recalls In The News
The most famous car safety recall in the press was probably the Toyota brake recall of 2009-2011, where over 9 million vehicles were recalled worldwide. There were also 400,000 Mercedes-Benz recalled in October 2017 due to a major air bag fault in the UK.
How To Check Car Recalls?
Since then it has become much more accepted that over time certain lines of vehicles can exhibit faults that weren't apparent when they left the factory. Addressing these problems can be seen as a proactive move by manufacturers for the safety of motorists.
Recalls are now regularly undertaken by manufacturers, with the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Association) announcing new recalls each month. In fact, you can check whether your car requires a recall at any time using their free car recall tool or just keep scrolling on down.
