Why is MotorEasy the only extended car warranty provider to offer its members a free vehicle health check?

We do this for two reasons, firstly to give our members peace of mind knowing they’re safe behind the wheel. Secondly our health checks help to keep the cost of our warranties down. 

 

Why do I need a health check? 

For most of us, the only time we visit a garage is for our car’s annual MOT and service. Once completed we assume our car’s running to the best of its ability and is in tip-top shape for another year. 


However, sometimes this isn’t the case, minor problems can occur anytime and if left unattended can lead to a much bigger issue, resulting in an unexpected and potentially large repair bill. 


Our visual inspection gives you peace of mind knowing your vehicle’s safe to drive, with no nasty surprises lurking around the corner. Checks are carried out by skilled technicians at a time and date convenient to you. Plus, after the health check is completed, you're automatically covered for wear and tear. 

 

 

Will you keep me updated during the health check? 

Absolutely, with the MotorEasy Repair Tracker you're kept up to date at every stage of the health check process. The Repair Tracker displays what garage is carrying out the health check, as well as the MotorEasy engineer looking after it. The Repair Tracker is constantly being updated as your booking proceeds, you'll also receive texts and email updates, so you’re always kept in the loop.

How will I know the outcome of the health check?

Following your health check, the report will be automatically uploaded to your MotorEasy account as well as emailed to you. A MotorEasy technician will then will call you to discuss the findings and any advisories. 

 

Is the report easy to understand?

The report follows a traffic light system; 

 

GREEN

Safe - a clean bill of health, you're ready to hit the road

 

AMBER

Advisory - recommended work is needed, but not urgent 

 

RED

Urgent - your vehicle may be unsafe and requires urgent attention/repair


What happens if there’s an advisory?

You’re under no obligation to have any work carried out on the day and if you prefer you can arrange to take the car elsewhere for repairs. 


Alternatively, you can use one of MotorEasy’s 10,000 network garages, we manage the whole process from start to finish. A MotorEasy technician oversees all work carried out and we pass our trade savings directly onto you. 

 

Will this affect my Warranty cover? 

If your car’s given a clean bill of health wear and tear cover is added immediately - you’re always covered against sudden failures from day one. 


However as with all extended warranty providers, we can’t cover pre-existing faults. If during the health check faults are discovered these will need to be repaired prior to your warranty covering them.

 

Whilst we endeavour to provide a thorough visual inspection of your vehicle, we cannot guarantee to identify all pre-existing faults. Should a pre-existing fault occur after your health check your warranty may not cover the cost of the repair.  However, we can assist with the management of the repair and pass our trade savings onto you. 

 

How do I make a warranty claim? 


Via MotorEasy Network

MotorEasy engineers are always on-hand to give you expert advice. Simply login to your MotorEasy account to submit a repair for pre-authorisation. A network garage will be considerably faster due to familiarity with our processes, plus we will pay them directly for repairs so you’re not out of pocket.


Via other VAT registered garages

Simply login to your MotorEasy account to submit a repair for pre-authorisation. Due to this being outside of our network you’ll probably have to pay yourself and reclaim any pre-authorised amounts.
